The KODISTART competition (hereafter referred to as "the competition”) is the competition held by Kodius d.o.o. (hereafter referred to as "Kodius”) software and design agency from Zagreb, Croatia. The competition is open to entrepreneurs and businesses from all over the world, except where prohibited by law. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid email address.

Everyone who wants to digitize business processes, build an MVP, create an online platform, build from scratch or improve existing software can apply.
To enter the competition, participants must fill out an online application form on the KODISTART website. The application must include a brief description of the project and any supporting materials (such as videos, images, or documents) that demonstrate the project's potential. Application attachments must also include a financial plan or projection of needed funding, or a similar business proposition or projection. Each participant is limited to one entry.

The entries will be judged based on the following criteria: creativity, innovation, feasibility, potential impact and sustainable funding projections. The judging panel will be composed of Kodius’ staff and experts in the relevant fields.

By participating in this competition, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions regarding the prize allocation and funding requirements.
The main prize for this competition is valued at up to €50,000, consisting of working hours from a dedicated development and design team. Participants are required to provide a monetary amount equivalent to the awarded prize to activate the full €50,000 development team support. The combined sum of the prize and participant contribution will form the total project budget for the development team's efforts.
All participant contributions will be subject to verification to ensure compliance with the 50-50 funding model.
In case of discrepancies or non-compliance, the participant may be disqualified, and the prize may be forfeited.


In addition to the main prize, the top 3 finalists will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the competition. The prize amounts for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places will be determined based on each finalist's funding abilities. The final prize amount will match the final participant's contribution.
Once the participant contribution is made, it is non-refundable, irrespective of the project's outcome.

By entering the competition, participants grant Kodius the right to use and reproduce the project description and supporting materials for promotional and marketing purposes. Participants are obligated to participate in promotional materials, such as case studies, testimonials, and similar marketing activities, if Kodius requires them. However, the participants retain ownership of their intellectual property rights.
Kodius will not be liable for any damages or losses that arise from participation in the competition, including but not limited to any technical malfunctions, lost or misdirected entries, or any other errors or omissions. By participating in the competition, each participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Kodius and its employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to their participation in the competition.
Any disputes arising from or related to the competition will be resolved through binding arbitration, conducted in accordance with the rules of the KODISTART. The arbitration will take place in Zagreb, Croatia. By participating in the competition, each participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
