For the Poplin company, hope was realized in writing a new app code, and for couples around the USA, it has manifested through the app that helps them achieve some of their biggest dreams - get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

What is Poplin?

Ready, steady, parenting!

When you decide to do something you’ve always dreamed of, it puts so many things at stake and failure is not an option.
You must prepare yourself and be ready.

That's how it goes with deciding to have a baby and becoming a parent.
And the fun thing is, the moment you’ve decided it, your parenting has actually already begun! Any action from that moment will affect the child's conception and its health.

In that moment, every help is great. And that's where Poplin jumps in.

POPLIN is an app, a pre-pregnancy wellness companion that gives the information to couples they need to improve their health and, as a result, give a child the best start possible.

It is essential to remember a baby is growing within a woman’s body and what she does before conception will have a tremendous impact on the health of her pregnancy and her baby.

Let's start from the beginning… You are wondering how we met our partner?

Having already developed an app for a NYC-based health tech firm, Forfend, the word of mouth spread quickly, and that’s how we ended up working with Poplin company on their health tech app.

New version in just two months

The Poplin company wanted us to only upgrade the existing platform, but we decided rewriting it was the best solution.

The old version of the app was developed over many months, but we have developed the new version in just two.

The birth of Poplin

01 Every step is
important

We weren’t alone in this process.

Our designers and developers worked extensively with ORDRS, a company who has an API linked to Quest Diagnostics (a world-class provider of diagnostic service and lab data) and has a network of doctors who can provide advice on how to improve health.

Our team also had to make integration with Stripe (payment processing platform).

02 Problem?
No problem

The biggest challenge was Premium Package.

The Poplin company wanted it to include all 49 different tests but laboratories could only perform 35 tests and send them back to ORDRS.

Our approach was to retain the contents of Premium Package.
In the backend, we divided the Premium Package into two, so that the user feels as if they bought only one.

Once the tests are done, they’re merged into one and sent to the user.

03 Everything
under control

It is essential to protect medical records and other individually identifiable health information, so we followed strict rules regarding their collection, use, and sharing.

04 The deliverance

After many tests, the app was ready.

It’s easy to use and very helpful for all considering getting pregnant.

The Results Beyond all measure

We developed an app that measures not just hormones, but health:
hormone levels, vitamine levels, blood type & status, immune status, nutrient status, stress levels etc.

Once the results are ready, the pre-pregnancy score is calculated. If the score is too low, the user gets advice on how to improve their health.

We also continue to offer support to Poplin, in which they can rest assured that their app will run smoothly and will get new upgrades as well, such as the ability to gather samples at home without going to a lab.
